Personal
Biography:
I was born and raised in the small town of Freeland, MI, home to a
prison, an airport, and one stop light (though they have since put in a
second). I grew up the third of four brothers, living a pretty typical
small town childhood. I played soccer, was adequate at street hockey,
terrible at basketball, and pretty
solid at the tuba.
After graduating high school, I moved to Ann Arbor to attend the
University of Michigan. While in Ann Arbor, I watched a lot of football
games in the Big House and hockey games in Yost Ice Arena. It was
during college that I
also developed a deep (some would say "snobbish") love of movies and
music.
In the oppressively hot summer of 2006, I drove from Ypsilanti, MI down
to Austin, TX to start graduate school at the University of Texas.
Austin
continues to feed my obsessive love of movies and music. I live
with my cat, nominally named Tasha, but most often referred to simply
as "kitty" or "cat."
